N2MeGD -- 4-Stringer Dept.
Actually, this arrived 3 days ago.
I have strict, firmly enforced shopping rules when it comes to instruments. And for lots of stuff, really. But for this, I smithereened Rule #1: Play it before I buy it. http://s1251.photobucket.com/albums/...t=4a66562f.jpg http://s1251.photobucket.com/albums/...3D9032a1fb.jpg Rule #2 (No More Instruments Until I Get Waaayyy Better on What I've Got) suffered even more damage. I grew up in Hawaii, and could never afford a Kamaka gold label soprano when they were new. So here it be. Sometimes, a bit of rule-breakery works. This ukulele's definitely seen a lot of play, but it has no cracks, holes or separations. It's straight where it's supposed to be, and flat in all the right places. The sound? Just as I remember ... only richer. But I'm not gonna take any risks like this again. Nope. No way. Nuh-uh.
