Default From NYC to Asheville - Suggestions and/or referrals

Hello fellow guitar enthusiasts

My wife and I fell in love with western NC and decided to buy a house near Asheville.
I can use some suggestions from those who reside, or have resided in the Asheville area, and are or were homeowners.

I would like to hear from any one who has had a good (or bad) experience with a particular:

1. realtor
2. House inspector
3. Interior designer
4. Contractor
5. And perhaps a real estate lawyer.

Also, though we have made many trips to the area and know about some of the better neighborhoods/suburbs of Asheville, are there any you would suggest staying away from?

Areas were we a looking at are, Black Mountain, Brevard/Pisgah Forest, and Hendersonville.

Would also love to hook up and Jam, once we move.

None, but Dream Guitars is there, and Paul Heumiller is a great guy with an amazing collection of guitars! Wish I could move there, it's just beautiful...

Congratulations in advance... great area! It's beautiful, lots to do and lots of music. I love the Black Mountain area and there are several lovely neighborhoods just south of there, south of I-40. And I hope you'll become a regular at the Swannanoa Gathering. Good luck!
