Default Some LaConner pics

That next to last building with the white roof is the exhibition hall

Two of my guitars with the hall logo between

This guy needs no introduction but that guitar he is obviously enjoying does.
It’s a Kinnaird…

Some interesting electrics slipped in. These were made of two carbon fiber plates with mahogany sandwiched in.

Another electric

Tony McManus playing one of mine that fortunately sold at the show

There were interesting variations of soundports

Peter son’s lovely guitars

The famous purpleheart guitar

Mike Doolin’s work

John Walkerwas there

This guy is headed for Cremona this year.

Hmmm my guitars keep sneaking in. The guitar on the left also sold. It was a fine show

I don’t have a shot of these characters work but suffice it to say it was excellent

Wayne Irvin excellent work. He is an excellent builder and fun guy to be around

My table again. Not sure how that keeps showing up.

One of the newer builders at the show. I was particularly drawn to his little curly sinker redwood topper guitar. What a gem

Another of his guitars in maple and spruce. Really unique and pretty

I have omitted important builders. Kathy Wingert had a table and somehow I missed her. There are more pics that I will post later.

Thanks for all the great pictures!
It was a pleasure meeting you and so many other wonderful people at the show. That’s great to hear you made some sales! It’s no surprise your guitars sounded and looked beautiful!

Thanks John for all the pics and the very kind words as well. It was a really fun show and highlighted by getting to spend time with so many great friends/fellow luthiers. I was able to play John Kinnard's guitars much more than I have in the past and wow, am I glad I did. They are gorgeous, obviously, but I loved being swept away with the sweet tender and full sound of his guitars. Play like butter too. He is also a ton of fun to hang with. Congrats John and we will see you at B.I.G. in September.

I love these pics! It's delightful to see so many independent artisan craftsmen producing instruments of such beauty and quality. Kind of reminds me of how the beer business has trended: More local craft breweries are popping up all over the place, and the "big names" in the industry are being unfavorable compared to them, even though they have the distribution networks and and production facilities.

I am so heartened by seeing these happy people showing their wares. Keep on!

Yes, Thanks for the photos! What a beautiful setting for such beautiful instruments.

Glad it was a success!

And, glad to report I am having a ball with all four of our builds!

Default a few more pictures and a shout out to Brent

I should have said this from the beginning but will emphasize it now, Brent put on a tremendous show. From a builders and performers perspective he was quite generous. I don't think there is another show anywhere (at least none that I have been to with the exception of BIG) that treat luthiers any better. Free lunch, free reception meal, and all the cookies you care to eat. The quiet rooms really were quiet and they were very conveiently located and secure to the main hall. Organization was impeccable. The show ran smoothly and In a number of other ways we were made to feel special and I want to thank him for that.

I have a few more shots:

the back of that maple guitar shown above.
