Default Martin HD-28 SHORT SCALE !

This is a 2023 Custom Shop HD-28 from Music Villa, which has been doing these custom Short scales for a while. Amazing guitars--thin top, adi-braced, and for those desiring a little lighter touch of a 24.9 scale, you won't find many like this. I will be posting the full spec sheet shortly, but for now, please feel free to let me know of any questions you may have. Reduced from $3500, now $3250 shipped, CONUS. EXCELLENT, mark-free condition, and includes a professionally installed K&K PWM, with added volume wheel. Reason for selling? I bought this with the plan to sell another of my dreds, and after reflection, have decided to keep the other one, which I regularly use for gigs. Thanks.

P.S. No trades at this time. Feel free to PM or email me ([email protected]) with offers or questions.

On second thought--since the spec sheet is 5 pages long, I am providing the summary from Music Villa below. If you would like the full spec sheet emailed to you, let me know. Thanks.

This custom shop short scale 28 style dreadnought features a thinner (.105″) Sitka spruce top, forward shifted golden era style bracing, short scale length (24.9″), east indian rosewood back and sides, 1-3/4″ bone nut (on an angle). These special custom upgrades combined with the shorter scale length give this particular model a very warm and full responsiveness with great balance and lots of power. This guitar now features antique white binding and GE old style Martin logo for an even more vintage look.

Well, I like short-scales a lot! My Yairi and my Alvarez Masterclass are both short scales - I'd bet this one is a blast to play! Have to wonder about tone and intonation though....

I have one of these Music Villa SS HD-28s and I can attest, they are absolutely wonderful guitars!

Mine is a 1 11/16” nut and it is just so effortless to play! Within the first week it became my favorite Martin to play.

Tone to me is slightly warmer and slightly mellower then its full size brethren, but still quite powerful and very much “Martin Dread”. If you are a J-45 guy (I am) this is basically THE martin for you!

GLWTS!

This guitar needs to sell! I have a J45 and love the thought of a short scale HD28 (I have standard scale). Must. Be. Strong.
