OK gang. Apparently I was overly optimistic!

As BOSS as this little hot rod is it is not going to get played much here. The good news is I have some rowdy amped gigs coming! So my attention is definitely elsewhere….

Joel’s site says:

O Revisited. At one point in history the O size was the largest guitar produced. By todays standards it is considered a small and under equipped instrument. The O-R aims to change that perception. After a bunch of guitar juggling and horse trading I am offering this recent
Michaud Made O. It is pristine and I will not molest it to put strap buttons or PUP in it.

This one deserves frequent play time in someone’s home, IMHO

Was Asking $9,450 AGF.

I would prefer a fee-less type payment, but I will split PP fees if you prefer that payment method.

I believe this would be over $13K today and Joel’s wait list may be closed! Snag this and enjoy!

Not looking for trades yet, as I have enough spiffy instruments already.

This was a commission for “doodahdoug” (AGF handle). He sold it as he decided he needed a cutaway.
I got it from our dear friend Beth (mountainguitar) who bought it from Doug

Since I received it a few weeks ago I have had it hanging in my humidity monitored music room with one of the new Dr. Herringbone guitar speaker/vibrators. They DO work, btw.

I don’t believe it had been played much at all, as the absolute pristine condition suggests.

It sounded great when I got it, and it has woken up considerably since then!

Fit and finish are perfect and the tone…. sound… voice is captivating and complex. Considerably LOUDER when digging in than I expected! When I first played it I assumed it was a 00. Definitely puts out a lot of sound!

The pronounced ducktail volute at the bottom of the headstock is quite comfy and is NOT in my way at all when playing in first position. I have found some that do get in my way… not this

I am a complete fan of any Michaud made guitars. They are all so articulately made and boy do they sound amazing. Fit n finish bar none.

To make this an even better deal Paul is just a first rate dude. He’s my dude.

My dear friend Rod came by today and played this guitar gently with a medium flatpick all up and down the neck. Sounded Fabulous in front. He is a way better picker than I am. Makes me glad I play so I can SING!

This needs regular exercise! Someone will be real happy

Good Question, massimo.

Opal would be cool, but the textured and colored inlay bits are specially oxidized brass.

This from Doug in the linked thread:
“ Custom designed treated brass inlay segments are found in both the rosette and the minimalist back strip and end graft of the instrument. This is a premium signature option that Joel executed beautifully.”

Does look kind of like opal, doesn’t it?
