2022 Urlacher Parlor (Single 0) 12 Fret Cutaway Western Red Cedar over Pink Ivory!

An unbelievably unique, one of a kind instrument! This guitar is really a stunning piece of artwork. The jewel-like back has a striking range of color and figure. Rebecca Urlacher has been building guitars for 20 years and is a former student of Ervin Somogyi. After successful shows at La Conner and elsewhere her builds are in high demand and there is a mutli-year wait for her instruments.

Even though its a small guitar, it doesn't give up much vs larger guitars. Huge voice in a small form factor. Doesn't take much energy to get it to sing but way more headroom than you might expect.


Different tonewoods, but very similar tonal characteristics, showing what this model can do:




Really great combination of features; Small body, 12-fret, short scale, cutaway, micro bevel, combined with generous string spacing yield a supremely comfortable and easy to play instrument.

Surprising power and volume for it's size. Insanely responsive and sensitive. Very fat, singing, lyrical trebles. Great note separation and balance with an overall 3 dimensional quality that is downright addictive.

Pink Ivory also known as Red Ivorywood, is one of the rarest, and most unique guitar tonewoods. Pieces large enough for guitars are unobtanium.

Lighter in weight, but similar in density to Malaysian Blackwood or Macassar Ebony, it makes a spectacular sounding instrument. The Western Red Cedar top adds warmth and a snappy immediacy to each note.

Thanks for the kind words Dan! I agree about the small body build comment. I've played 3 Urlacher Dreads, 5 OMs and 3 Parlors, and while all great, the Parlors just have that little bit o' extra magic. It's the model Rebecca built when she did the Somogyi voicing class. Her build came in 1st place at the judging contest at the end.

I play it everyday and hope things will work out so I can keep it. We'll see, cheers!

hey I'm seriously interested in this. I'm looking for something to replace my 2001 Goodall RGCC which I sold due to ergonomic issues, and replaced it with another guitar that...went badly, but I should be getting a full refund on it soon.


This looks like it ticks a lot of the boxes. If I bought it, would you consider adding a K&K passive pickup and strap buttons offensive modifications?
