Default Is Turpentine similar to Redwood?

Listening to the new Midnight Oil LP "Resist", and lyrics from the song "Tarkine" mentions several native Australian trees .. including Turpentine (Syncarpia glomulifera?). Has this wood been used to make guitars or other stringed instruments? Is this wood similar to Redwood?

Syncarpia’s wood is well over twice the density of Coastal Redwood.
