Default Pity Party for those who can't attend Taylorstock

Love my Taylor and really enjoy this forum and the knowledge, kindness and diversity of the members. Unfortunately can't swing getting away for Taylorstock due to my 25 yr. old wife expecting our tenth child, the dog needing braces, have to work, etc., and so many other excuses that I won't bother to bore anyone with. Anybody else feeling blue cause they can't attend ? If so looking for some good ideas for a pity party.

If your 25 year old wife is really expecting child number ten then you're WAY TOO TIRED to attend . Makin babies is hard work.

Actually kids are kind of fun to make, it's the dog's orthodonist thats keeping broke these day. Ain't nothing like a beagle with a bad overbite.

I am still juggling with the idea, but I have a hard time convincing myself to put the kind of money it would take to fly in from Montréal to attend Taylorstock, instead of buying another guitar. I'd probably be able to buy a 410 instead, so...

I have to admit that I'm more than a bit jealous of those who are going to Taylorstock. There just is no way at this time I can attend. Financially, the timing couldn't be much worse. Things are in turmoil surrounding my 17 year old daughter at the moment, and I can't even think about leaving her at this point in time or in the future until some things are resolved. She's a good kid and doesn't deserve some things that have happened. The thing she needs mom, and that's me. Then again, there is my 85 yr. old mom who is dependent on me. It's a real hassle to leave because there is no way I can leave her here alone. So... all in all, yes, I'm going to need a pity party, too. (Of course, if I win that Taylor BIWB contest, I'll get there come he** or high water!)

MAKE it a GREAT day!!!

Not fair!

Ah well, two vacations this year, one in the smokies (already done) and another around Thanksgiving to see the in-laws. Cant really afford to add another. Have fun everyone!

Gee, Couldn't we hold our own? Something more centrally located, so it wouldn't be too far for everyone? a weekender would be fine for me.........

Hello~

well... although i can drive to San Diego (and probably have a car full of Taylor fan wannabes)~ my schedule does not permit me to allow that luxury of attending the first TaylorStock

during the event time period, im gonna go to the Centre and woefully play all the Taylors there in commemoration to the event haha

i will expect pictures and possibly a separate picture site regarding TaylorStock!

I was all set until my brother informed me his son is getting married on the 9th!!

I am really disappointed he didn't consult this forum prior to scheduling his wedding!! He even owns a Taylor! The nerve!

My brother has one (Taylor) as well, so maybe we'll have a pity party at the wedding. Won't the newlyweds like that!!

I've got a family reunion on my wife's side to go to that weekend, or otherwise I'd be there. Maybe next time...

I'm extremely jealous of those going to TaylorStock; if only the economy was better, I may have a job and some money of my own, and a trip to San Diego for the party ... anyone in SD wanna hire a recent Information Systems grad ? If not, I'm down with a pity party; y'all can come down here to Misssissippi!
