Default I went looking for a Martin D-28 but bought a Gibson

I believe GC have an excellent exchange policy, it’s maybe not too late !

Kidding, congratulations on a finding a great guitar.

Congrats!!!!

J45 or D18, can't go wrong wither way.

I went J45 with a cutaway and love it.

I also have a Martin Road series with a cutaway and love that just as much.

Gibson or Martin acoustics, love them both.

I have a J-45 and a D-28. Both great guitars but the Gibson tone is what I always have in my head when I think acoustic guitar.

Congrats!
If that guitar was "love at first strum", you did good.

Congrats. I hope it wasn't a case of brand new strings on the J-45 vs. older strings on the Martins. Either way, you like it and that's what counts. The mahogany back and sides make it a very lightweight guitar. Comparable to a D-18 in weight.

I played a new J-45 at GC the other day and I have to say it sounded great. Like a good boy, I put it back on the wall.

Congratulations on an iconic guitar!

I own a Wildwood 1960s style J-45, as well as a J-45 Vintage. Fabulous guitars... probably the most versatile instruments on the planet.

Enjoy!

My friend and I have had a great time swapping the guitars back and forth playing songs on each one and you can't go wrong with either one.The J45 and D-28 are both amazing gutars.
