Default NGD: Martin 000-18GE Custom with photos and video review

Hello AGF!

I'm back with another NGD review and demo. I wasn't looking for a new guitar but when I saw this one in the AGF classifieds it ticked all the boxes of a guitar I'd had a hankering for, for quite some time. In fact, this guitar has all the appointments that I would want if I was ordering a custom from Martin myself!

Rather than wax on long in writing like I usually do I've recorded a video with my thoughts and impressions on this wonderful instrument. Cell phone recording and uploading to YouTube, so audio quality is suspect at best (not unlike my playing!) but you'll get the gist.

Thanks to Tony for (unbelievably) parting with this beautiful instrument. I've only had it for a few days and I'm already quite smitten. I think I've been on a collision course with this exact guitar for the last six years. It was worth the wait!

Photos will follow below the video.

That's the prettiest 000-18GE I've ever seen! Love that slotted headstock. Congrats! Sound great too!

Very Nice...the 000-18GE is a fine guitar! I really like the slotted headstock and abalone inlays...elegant, but not over the top. CONGRATS!!!

Wow, an amazing beauty. I'm right with you, the 000-18GE is where I ended up as a perfect fit for my style of play and I agree with you, the appointments on your guitar are perfect. I love the slotted headstock and torch inlay and the simple abalone rosette. Enjoy in good health!

Fabulous guitar!

I think you may have just earned a couple hundred bucks for the next person to put one of these up for sale
