DGDGBD---------open G / taro patch
DGDGF#BD------double-slack / G Wahine
DADF#AD--------open D
DADF#BD--------D6 tuning
CGEGCE----------open C variant
CFCFCE-----------F Wahine tuning
CGDGBE----------Keola's C / C Wahine also the Vincent Black Lightning tuning

EADGBE----------standard
DGCFAD----------standard minus one step, often with a capo at jams (certain guitars strongly prefer this tuning over standard)

Ironically, I have not (yet) done much with DADGAD, despite having taken classes with Laurence Juber and understanding its advantages, or the various Orkney tunings from classes with Steve Baughman.

The AGOS (Acoustic Guitar On Stand) is always in Open D - DADF#AD.

Come to think of it, all the AGICs (Acoustic Guitar In Case) are too. Just a tuning I've gravitated to over the years, which suits my noodling-on-a-couch sensibilities.

Perversely, all the electrics are in standard.

"Fake" drop d. Capo on 2 covering strings 1-5 (high e through A) and play in the key of D, which simulates drop D, but I'm really in E. The bass rings out nicely playing D (E) chord with all 6 strings. Just have to mute the 6th string if playing the Em shape, or playing an A chord.

I like DADGAD, DADF#AD and a new one for me is Csus2. Fun to fool around with.

I use a half-dozen different ones, but most often, lately, DADADE and DADGCE. DADGAD and DAFGCE are also common but less frequent. I actually almost never play standard these days, but I spent years playing only standard and still use it occasionally (actually drop-D standard, DADGBE) playing electric blues. I think DADGCE is pretty good for both acoustic and electric, it's almost drop-D standard, but I find the B to C switch opens up more open drone string options.

This is one of my favorites too. Love the fact that most of the normal chord shapes work while also getting that nice Drop D "drone" effect. So quick and easy to change to between songs as well.
