Default NGD - The Emerald ''Lake Tahoe" special has arrived!!

I knew my X20 Woody shipped last Friday from Emerald. When I returned home yesterday afternoon from being out on sales calls, I saw that the postman left a tag indicating he tried delivering my guitar. I was disappointed that I missed him, however noticed on the tag that the post office was open until 7:00 p.m. I took the tag and flew out the door to the post office. A postal service lady there was able to retrieve the large box that came from Ireland and after signing for it, she presented me with my new prize.

After a quick and excited trip home, I opened the carton and pulled the case (and box with mug) from the carton. I put the case on the sofa, and slowly clicked open each latch in nervous anticipation...........even though I already had photos of this guitar, seeing it in person for the first time had me excited like a young lad going out with a young lass for the first time.......then the case was opened.....and OH MY!!!

It is gorgeous beyond my expectations!! As usual, Emerald hit it out of the park and it is all I hoped it would be. The Celtic knot on the 12th fret looks elegant and classy!! The melding of the blue into the green on the body is just perfect! As I have previously said, it reminds me of the waters in Lake Tahoe where my wife and I were married in 2005. And the headstock coloration is stylish as well using the same color scheme. While I did not have a lot of time to play it yesterday evening, the short amount of time I played it had me reunited with the feel and sound from when I had my amber X20 that I sold to fund this guitar. I look forward to putting it through the paces today and throughout the weekend.

Here are a few photos I took, as well as the photos from the Emerald factory. She is a beautiful Irish lassy for sure!!

Congrats, awesome looking guitar!
It arrived very quickly. Our two Emeralds that were shipped on the same day have only just got into the country and who knows how long customs will hang on to them. I'm thinking weeks!

Very striking! When we were last at Lake Tahoe, I remember the water being cold... that guitar is HOT!

Congratulations!

Thanks for all the kind comments about my new guitar. I got to play a good bit this weekend and am once again really impressed with these guitars. I did change the strings over to Elixir Nanoweb Phosphor Bronze, which are my preferred strings.

The guitar sounds amazing both acoustically, and plugged into my Fishman Loudbox Artist acoustic amp. The LR Baggs Anthem pickup sounds very natural and the tone is to die for. Needless to say I am quite pleased all the way around.

The guitar turned out better than my expectations. Alistair, Sean, and the rest of the team at Emerald did a superb job. I continue to be impressed not only with their instruments, but with the customer service and attention to detail. So refreshing in today's world....... CHEERS to EMERALD GUITARS!!!
