Thumbs up Winter photography of carbon fiber guitars

I had to post - how much fun it was to do a photo shoot of my two carbon fiber guitars (one to post for sale; the other to celebrate a NGD). Normally I can't do outdoor guitar photo shoots in Wisconsin for six months of the year, but with these two, I headed out with snow on the ground and took advantage of our lovely New Years Day sunshine in the Milwaukee area. What a joy to not worry about moisture, rapid temperature change, or much of anything!

Another reason to love our carbon fiber instruments...

That's awesome, but you can't tell us how great it was without posting the photos please.

I like that sound port "patch" over the barn door opening. Clever.

Normally I prefer to see the carbon fiber weave underneath clear coat, but that blue-burst looks good too, especially with the white pick guard.

Oof, of course. Thanks Ted for popping a Rainsong pic on. Here are a few shots for my new (to me) Blackbird Lucky 13. Wasn't sure I'd like the black color, but it's growing on me. And the fretboard is just beautiful - love how they did that! (for reference, the "white stuff" is solid water, known here as snow. It's warmed up from 20 below zero absolute temp's, am loving seeing the grass peek through on Jan. 1. May be the last view of it for a while...)

Thanks for the pics! I am also really enjoying my new to me Lucky 13. I leave it out on a stand all the time.

I'm loving these. If a bunch of us CF aficionados would post pics of our guitars in snow that would be COOL! We could make an AGF calendar!

Nice photos with the contrast of the black guitars and the... evil white stuff. As a former resident of the frozen northland, I try to avoid that stuff as much as humanly possible. Nice to know the CF guitars handle it without breaking a sweat... no, that's not right.

You shouldn't leave your Rainsong in the cold....look it's turned all blue . On a lighter note I love serenading my family outside events. Last was the launching of our new drone.

We have a lot more snow now than when this photo was originally taken.

I'll have to try to get a better shot of the amber finish.

Don't leave those things out in the snow and cold!

You'll wind up with shrinkage!!
