That was a pretty good representation of the El Capitan's sound, although through a PA system. I consider it favorably comparable to many of my Taylor's - a nice warm and "woody" sound that the uninitiated would never guess is a composite guitar. It is also smaller to hold than the photos suggest. It looks like a J-200, but it is considerably smaller than that. That was my biggest surprise when I finally got to play one.
I don't speak French or have any other context, so it was not clear why the female judge got so emotional during the song. |

Very nice sounding instrument--clean, clear, and warm.
Perhaps the young man's song was a rejection of the judge's love, hence the tears. Or maybe the young man was singing about his recently dead dog? Or, maybe the judge had allergies? Anyone here speak French? Help us get this straight. |
