Default Emerald Pick guard

I'm interested in getting an Emerald X7 Artisan (trying to see if I can put the funds together). I am a newbie and I do care very much about keeping my "stuff" looking pristine, basically scratching the guitar would devastate me. Does anyone know if a pick guard is an option (depending on the color of the guitar). I'd like to have a pick guard (carbon fiber preferably) that would go nicely with whatever colour of finish of the guitar. Like I said, I am a newbie and as such, at times the control of my strumming hand leaves a lot to be desired and I do not want to scratch the guitar.

I don't recall who sells them, but online you can buy clear static pickguards that can be shaped to taste, easily removed and reapplied at any time without leaving any marks. I use one on my Emerald Chimaera 6/12 doubleneck, but just where my forearm touches the upper side of the lower bout.

I have an X7 Artisan and the finish is pretty tough. If you really want to protect it the aforementioned clear static pick guards (or a 'Poundland' iPad screen protector cut to size) will protect it from pick marks but what about the rest of the guitar? If you're going to play it accept that it will acquire some scars (the first one is always the worst) and enjoy the guitar.

BTW, good video here showing how to fit a clear pickguard.

Like said static cling clear guards are the ticket. Put them on all my carbons from day one.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. While I have not pulled the trigger (still checking what's out there) if I do, I will certainly look into getting something that will fit the bill.
I realize the first ding on a guitar is the most painful one, but if I can avoid it, I'll do whatever it takes to prevent it. Having said that, when it happens, I'll have to live with it.
If anyone is wondering, playing a guitar wrapped in bubble wrap is not something I would consider

The company that was most referred to on the AGF for their clear static vinyl pickguards is called DS Custom Shop Alternative Pickguards. They may no longer be in business and I'm not sure if anyone else offers what they did. Some are offered on eBay. Here's a link to one offer I found...

The X7 seems to be the best value out there (certainly this side of the pond). There is a waiting list hough. Either way Alastair is very amenable to suggestions so I'd be prepared to bet he's fit a clear pickguard at the factory (it's always easier when the guitar is brand new, no dust etc).
