that's quite right... I'm not sure, which term for the "heel" is the right one, but I think, we mean the same part of the guitar
to "finish" this thread in some way, here for completion some pics from the finished guitar in the workshop... |

you asked for sound-samples... I know, that it was "a long time ago"... but I forgot about it...sorry... and a few days ago I remembered it and so here is a first "quick and dirty" sound-impression with a lot of mistakes and without any sound-editing....
for a better comparison I just took a second sound-sample with even more mistakes ("quicker and dirtier") with my second fanned fret Tera from Olav Loef.. hopefully you can get some impressions |

Thank you, LaFaro! You do both instruments justice with your fine musicianship. The Voss has a beguiling sound and I am impressed with how open and responsive is sounds already. Love the neo-classic looks and design elements too!
Really nice to have you posting here! Welcome |

Very nice !
Good English and beautiful guitar. I especially like the "demi bevel" on the front high string side. adds a very unique look and I bet it's quite functional as well ! congrats !!!

@ psychojohn yeah the bevel is quite functional and in combination with the negative neckangle and the elevated fingerboard it's nearly some sort of "demi cutaway" and a partial replacement for a cutaway without cutting away something |
