Emerald XB-35 ABG?
I have been slowly distilling my guitars and basses to what I really want instead of what I could afford or find at the time. The last thing I’d like to address is my acoustic bass guitars - I have a pair of Tacoma Thunderchief 5s and am considering replacing them both with a single Emerald XB-35 five stringer. I was very impressed with my X7-OS.
Does anyone here have any first-hand experience with the XB-35? I'm trying to get a feel for the acoustic volume, the B string feel and the like. I really like the Tacomas but would prefer to be all CF for my acoustic instruments. Extra points if you can compare the Emerald to the Tacoma, but finding someone that has experience with both might be a bridge too far. Thanks!

I also looked at that bass but decided to go with the Flow Bass. It is a bit heavier but it may be more compatible with the sound I am looking for. It should have been built by now and I will post pics as soon as I get it. -- Darwin
