Default Emerald Amicus strings

Wondering what those of you with an Amicus are using for strings, tough finding an 09 light gauge set.
Any suggestions?

I thought about getting an Amicus, and considered the cost of strings as a regular maintenance cost. I'd think it would be expensive to string one of those beasties!

You can buy single strings just get doubles.

Here are the gauges from Emeralds site .009, .011, .015, .020, .029, .042

Steve, thanks for the heads up, I thought I was going to have to buy 2 sets of 12 strings packs and discard the octave strings.
Thanks a lot.

Just reviving this thread because I am awaiting delivery of an Amicus. I'm curious that one of the doubled strings is a 29. I've checked String and Beyond, and it isn't possible to buy a 29! This suggests that Emerald sells ready-made sets for the Amicus; otherwise, why stipulate a string that doesn't exist? Does anyone know the answer to this?

I found similar things when putting together a string set for a similar double course Godin Inuk. Just got close to same gauge on one of the strings. It's not rocket science. Then I found Godin does sell sets. Mine worked fine. Guitarist use all kinds of gauges- light medium heavy ?

Still seems odd that the specs would specify a string gauge that doesn't exist outside their world and then not sell their own sets to include it. Why not call that string a 28 or a 30 if those are all that's available?

D'Addario makes singles (PB, 80/20 or either in EXPs) in every size from 020 to 030, including 029. See JustStrings for example...

Thanks for the link. I'd only checked String and Beyond.

Or . . . 29 on the website was just a typo?
