Default Rainsong and Fishman

I have been playing an instrument with a Fishman Aura Pro Preamp. Huge upgrade from the Preamp Rainsong puts in, as well it has a much slimmer, small profile. 4 Aura images of the instrument. It's just very nice. Would be awesome in their guitars, I am sure they don't want the added expense, but their preamp is getting pretty dated.

I completely agree Steve and that is party why I'm saving for the Rainsong I want- cash down/ walk away owing the guitar and to see what happens to the onboard systems. There is already a superior Prefix +T that has an attached electret mic that you can blend with the UST signal- sounds like the Prefix +T isn't likely to be improved upon as much as replaced.

It seems every 4 or 5 years today's preamps are pretty much way outdone by either the same manufacturer or another- but always better. The Aura's are super nice and I bet that Rainsong sounds amazing through it. Please post a video if you find time.

You can order a Rainsong without factory electronics.

oops. I just read the description of your original post and made the assumption that you "upgraded" the stock Rainsong electronics with an Aura.

Wonder if they have a drop in Aura Pro replacement? Mine in the Godin is the small profile, but they make one larger? Probably makes more sense to put the money in a Aura Pedal since the Aura Pro preamp is &500. The Spectrum is $325.

You can buy a Fishman Aura Onboard preamp that has the same dimensions (architecture) as the current RainSong-installed Fishman Prefix +T, and will it will accept downloadable Aura Images. Another alternative is to run the output of a RainSong equipped with the current Fishman PreFix +T through a Fishman Aura Pedal.

I agree I use the old Jumbo Aura Pedal with my JM1000. But having the Aura images on broad is pretty cool.
