Default Non-Cutaways

Wondering if knows there's any Carbon Fiber guitar makers that sells non-cutaways CF guitars for sizes like OM, GA, GC sizes? Apart from dreadnoughts by Rainsong? Thanks.

There aren't many non-cutaway CF guitars. By manufacturer:

Blackbird
Lucky 13 (small body, not sure what to call it)

CA
Legacy (dreadnought)

Emerald
T8 (travel)
T20 (dreadnought)

RainSong
dreadnought models
jumbo models

So, if you want a non-cutaway in a smaller body, there are only two choices that I'm aware of: Blackbird Lucky 13 and Emerald T8. The T8 is likely smaller than you're looking for, so the Lucky 13 might be the best bet. The good news is that they're getting stellar reviews with the newly voiced model (the earlier version was voiced more as a blues box).

Out of curiosity, is there some reason you're only interested in non-cutaway? Don't like the look? Afraid the tone will suffer?

One of the main reasons I have the Rainsong JM 1000 is I don't like cutaways. The only cutaway on a Rainsong that I like is the Parlor. There is no logic here just personal preference on look.

A member of the band Brother Sun plays a Blackbird Guitars non-cutaway carbon fibre instrument. This one I think: http://www.blackbirdguitar.com/lucky13.html
When I heard it last weekend it sounded very good. I'm certain I was hearing about half amplified signal and half acoustically as it was a small house concert.

In the OM, GA, GC size group there is only the Blackbird Lucky 13 which is a 00, or GC size. Keep an eye on our Facebook page next Thursday though, there might be something new at NAMM and we will be posting pictures.

The T20 is a dreadnought, I don't think Emerald has anything without a cutaway other than the dreadnought and the T8 travel guitar.

I'm with doubleneck on this. The Rainsong Parlor is the only cutaway I care for, so that is what I bought. Very happy with it.
I happened to be at MacNichol's one day trying out a GXi when the CA rep was there and I gave him an earful about making a wide neck non-cutaway GX. I love everything about that guitar except the cutaway. I'd sell most of the guitars I own for one if it didn't have that cutaway.

Thanks for the input thus far. As for reason I'm considering non-cutaways, the simple reason is I don't like cutaways. :-) Haven't been able to like any cutaways - wood or CF guitars.

In the size you've listed, the Blackbird Lucky 13 is really the only choice. Fortunately for you, people seem to love it (I have no hands on experience, so can't give you my opinion).

It's important to note (as already mentioned) that Blackbird has recently re-voiced the 13. The original model was voiced to give it more of an old blues guitar vibe. It now is voiced to give a more versatile tone.

I played the Lucky 13 a couple of months ago for a week, the revoiced guitar I thought was awesome. I thought it was a little woodier sounding than the Rainsongs and the whole retro body look very cool. If that's the size you are looking for, really doubt you will be disappointed. It does have the heft and feel of a full size guitar.
