Default Proposal: Carbon Fiber Weekend Fest

Two years ago I attended a Carbon Fiber Fest in Utah sponsored by MacNickol Guitars. We ended up having maybe 15? carbonated guys that got together and just had great time playing, exchanging guitars and getting to know each other. We even had some of the makers Skype in and talk about what they were working on. Last year it didn't come off, I think Utah is tuff for us Easterners. I wonder if in 2014 we could have a Eastern US Carbon Fest. So many guys here can't find and play all the different models. A get together would be fun and give everyone a chance to pass around our favorites? Just a thought for New Years Eve. Below is a picture of the guitars that attended the Fest in Utah.

That's a good start!

Hey Steve. You tried to organize such a gathering last year, but unfortunately, it couldn't come together. I'm interested again, but it would have to be sometime late April while I'm on my drive back to Canada from Florida. When potential locations were offered, my preference was Cleveland to also be able to take-in the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame. Maybe we could influence the administrators to add a CF guitar to the collection! I'd be interested in other locations within a reasonable tangent of my route back.

Hi Steve - I recognize a couple of those guitars! I would be interested in again getting together with other cf owners. The two Carbon Fiber Fests I participated in in Utah were fun, both musically and socially. Wooster is a lot closer to mid-Michigan than is Salt Lake City (but I wouldn't be opposed to going back there if the time was right). April would be a good time.
