Default Have you adjusted your Rainsong truss rod?

Curiously how many are actually used? Need votes from both sides. Have a feeling only the truss rod users will read this and vote. Steve

I wanted as flat an action as I could with no buzzing. It didn't take much, but with the pro setup, it is the nicest playing acoustic I've ever tried....

Twice, when I've changed strings, I've given a quarter turn to the truss rod. When I start getting some buzz I'll back off. Taking my time like this, I don' think I'll overshoot the mark. The set-up was pretty good when I received the guitar.

I have an OM1000 without truss rod. Don't want or even need one. Sure wish RS made a Shorty with an N1 neck. Some of us (or maybe just me) need the slim neck.

Similar, guess I am coming to the truss rod side! no question it allows for just about perfection in a setup.

Yes.

When I put new strings on it (EXPs instead of the stock Elixirs) it needed a slight adjustment.

I tweaked the truss rod on my CO-WS1000N2 about 1/6th of a turn (one flat on the nut) to make the neck-relief just a tad flatter than it came from the factory. I'll probably never touch the truss rod again as long as I keep buying light-guage Elixer Nanoweb strings as came factory-installed on the guitar.

Regards,

SpruceTop

I added some relief to the neck on my CO-OM1000N2 to retain volume and tone when using the capo. I play it like a bandit trying to break into a bank vault.

1/4 turn the day I received (3 yrs ago?), as recommended by Michael Stone. Not touched since.
