Right. Kramer Ferrington guitars were on the market for a few years in the mid to late 1980's, if I remember correctly.
Danny Ferrington is a handbuilder who got a name for himself by building some really wild, electric guitar-inspired acoustic guitars. The Kramer guitar company saw a real marketing opportunity with the idea, and licensed his designs for acoustic guitars shaped like electrics, such as the Tele style shown in the photo. There was also a Strat. The Kramer Ferringtons were not all that great acoustically. Part of that is the limitation of the body size and thickness, but a lot of it has to do with the fact that they were built entirely of laminated woods. They're basically a cute idea more than a well-functioning musical instrument, in my opinion. I've never played a Kramer Ferrington or any of the similar guitars that Fender has marketed that I would want to own, or would even recommend to anyone else. Wade Hampton Miller |

I loved her appearance on "Friends". Phoebe asks her, "Do you know D chord?'. She answers, " I know all of them".
