Cooper's Glen Music Festival, Kalamazoo 2/12/2011
I spent the day hanging out with luthier buddies and making new ones yesterday. I didn't go into the event thinking that I was going to chronicle the event with my camera. Instead I just took pics of whatever, and of instruments that I wanted to have images of, for future reference. But I thought many of you would enjoy these anyway.
Lighting wasn't optimum for photos. I had the choice between blur and flash. I now wish I would've taken more pics of Mark Swanson's guitar to share with y'all because his stuff is great, and he definitely deserves greater recognition. I didn't take many pics of his because I have already played them and seen them a lot. http://www.markswansonmusic.com/ Fred Tellier and Mark Swanson Mark Swanson's bouzouki Fred Tellier http://www.fetellierguitars.com/ Fred Tellier's 000 Fred Tellier's dread Joe Konkoly http://konkolyguitars.com/ In the bottom right of the previous pic you can bareley see a dread built by Konkoly 10 years ago, being played by a passerby. Unfortunately, I did not get a picture of it. It was very nice. Back of Joe Konkoly's incredible koa OM Flawless craftsmanship and impeccable eye for vintage detail on Konkoly's 000 volute

Bryant Gingerich's guitars. He's a guy to look out for. Fit and finish are amazing, and he's so young...just barely in his twenties!
