Default Rivera Chubster 40 Amplifier

This is my beloved Rivera Chubster 40 in PERFECT shape. I’ve had it since new and it is flawless and sounds incredible. All tubes are working great, It comes with the stock footswitch and a cover. I need some cash and am selling all my guitar gear. Will be selling my Taylor 810 too. Ugh. Anyway, this one is about four years old, and has two things that are hard to find: 1) The British green tolex and golden front fabric which look great, was a $250 upcharge and are much more durable (not that this amp ever left the house), and 2) it has a much preferred Celestion Vintage 30 speaker (made in Ipswich England). There are numerous U-Tube videos showing the superiority of this speak (stock when I bought it) over the current Celestion 70/80 speaker. Price both by themselves and you will see the V30 is more expensive as well.

The Chubster 40 (non $250 upgraded) costs $1700 brand new from Musiciansfriend, or you can get a refurbished (i.e. used and sent back) one with a 70/80 speaker for $1350. Shipping would cost you another $50. My price is $975 shipped in the USA.

Including the amp cover too. You won’t find a scratch on this amp anywhere. Nothing. It’s beautiful and sounds incredible. Would prefer a local pick-up if possible near St. Louis (knock off $50).

Thanks.

Nearly bought one of these once. They are nice amps, but I'm on the west coast, and pickup is generally best with these. How would you ship it and guarantee it would work on arrival? I bought an amp several years back that was DOA. Lots of arguing later, and no one was happy.

I have two boxes. One to box the amp into with foam around it, and then I would pack with foam peanuts and place in a second box. It would be as safe as I could make it. But agreed, a pick-up would be best.

Sold it. I miss it. It was heavy. Probably 40 - 50 pounds.
