Our ukulele club always did a medley of the military anthems, including Coast Guard. It always went over well, especially with the veterans in the audience.

God Bless America?
Also while some consider it a bit of a protest song...This Land is Your Land.

Songs for Memorial Day
"When Johnny Comes Marching Home Again" That's the happy version. The truthful folk song I believe is "Johnny I Hardly Knew Ye" And yes, nobody seems to sing all six verses to "This Land is Your Land", as there are some uncomfortable questions asked along the way. Signal Kitchen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q3aqV-f7tEo "With God On Our Side"? How about "Feel Like I'm Fixin' to Die Rag"? Woodstock: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eRl6-bHlz-4 Johnny Cash, from "The Ballad of Ira Hayes": ". . . back home, nobody cared what Ira'd done, and when do the Indians dance") Gen. Wm. T. Sherman said it best. "War is He-2-sticks" Be well and play well, Don, a D.A.V. .

‘Traveling Soldier’ by The (Dixie) Chicks cuts to the heart of the matter.

Since there are least two airborne guys here:
There was blood upon the risers, there were brains upon the chute, Intestines were a-dangling from his paratroopers suit, He was a mess, they picked him up, and poured him from his boots, And he ain't gonna jump no more Gory, Gory, what a helluva a way to die…….. He ain’t going to jump no more. +
