Default NGD and NGHD (new guitar hanger day) !

A couple of new additions to my music room yesterday. First off I set up a friends gigging guitar which was a Martin 00XCE all black HPL and I was surprised at how well the UST sounded in the guitar when I went to check the string balance after I shaved the saddle down a little. Must be something to do with the HPL because in a lot of guitars the sonicore Fishman Pickup sounds dreadful!

Anyway a few weeks later I come across this GP1XAE covered in bear claw on the spruce top. Needed the tiniest bit of work on the saddle and the nut slots deepening on the thinnest DGBE strings. Took it out to my gig last night and was very impressed with it through my Fishman Platinum Stage Preamp.

I also put up my new guitar hanger yesterday as this guitar is something I can happily leave out all year round in the UK with no bother at all. It’s a hanger made from an old Jack Daniels Whiskey Barrel. I thought it was quite cool and something different and seeing as I like whiskey and guitars why not!
