I offer lifetime fret path maintenance (fret mill to neck set) on my guitars, and have only been asked to re-level frets once in that time. Jascar, the manufacturer, says the wire is hypoallergenic, (I may even have the right word) meaning it does not react with human tissue creating allergies and the like, which cannot be said for nickel wire. If any of my customers have any Negative considerations about this wire, they haven’t mentioned them to me.
You are correct Bruce. In referring to Jescar Fret Wire, EVO is only produced in the gold variety. Here's a link to their spec sheet:

Based on yours as well as Justinwo's experience and because my hands don't seem to corrode or tarnish strings, I think I will go with EVO now on my new Kostal. Thanks for offering your experience on this.

Well, it’s tough for sure. I haven’t been able to wear it appreciably so far.

I'm told that the EVO alloy is:
Cu, Sn 15%, Fe 1%, and Ti 0.1%

David Collins of Ann Arbor Guitars and Hesh Breakstone have done some interesting testing on fret wire wear. David built a machine that takes a guitar string and rubs it across the fret wire simulating note bending. The machine can be set up to test different string wires, string gauges and fret wire material. The machine can be set to cycle an infinite number of times. Long story short, Evo Gold actually has better wear resistance than SS fret wire.

The only negative I’ve encountered is that some people with high alkalinity can cause the wire to oxidize and tarnish. Some think it may be the higher copper content in the wire may be a factor too. On the positive size it’s easily cleaned and polished.

I was getting confused that EVO was a brand name for several fret wire alloys Jescar offers but EVO is single fret wire alloy, gold in color.

My new Kostal will have EVO(Gold) frets .
