The J-45 sounds like a great start. Are you able to play any in your area?

I'm a Maple Jumbo player Gibson J-185ec.

Has been my number 1 since 2008.

Just picked up Martin OM-28e. Surprises me every day.

I didn't think a Rosewood guitar would sustain longer than my Maple 185.

I was mistaken.

Was a bit on the fence till I got my setup.

But was same for the 185.

Can play either for hours with no fatigue what so ever.

And tone on either, is nothing short of amazing.

Set up is key.

I’ve got wood and CF guitars. I’d look for a Rainsong H series dread. They don’t make the H now. I have a H-OM and it is stellar. Rich and full, warm. They also have a Vintage line you may be able find used toward the top of your range. Terrific instruments.

You folks are good…..
In addition to the listed suggestions I have also been considering a Takamine P 7 series. As near as I can tell they seem to be a nice instrument for the price…
Anyone have experience with this 7 series?

So I tried the Fender Acoustisonic, and It works, but not for me. Sure plays easy though.
Also played the Takamine P7nc. It was one Of the nicest guitars I have played, to look at, anyway. But it sounded like it was making a thud sound instead of a bass note. Dead. And I wanted to like this one…

But, I have decided on the Taylor 814ce V braced. I know it will be nice as I have a 2015 model. So now the plan is to trade one of the Taylor’s (should be the 2015 model) for something else if I can find a taker. The Gibson J45 is a good sound, or I might try a maple guitar. A Carbon is a good possibility, but Then I will need to find someone to trade with……I guess I will list the Taylor after the new one arrives. Could be a week. Hope this one works.

Any idea if the Taylor is going to be wanted? Hate to sell for $ 😬 but love a trade.
Looking forward to the new Taylor…..
