Those are the three pedals I should have bought back in the late 80s. (or perhaps it might have been the DD3 at that time).

My oldest pedal would probably be a late-80s Morley A/B switcher.
My oldest pedal that actually does anything to the sound besides route it would probably be an early-90s Tech21 Tri-AC programmable overdrive. My oldest pedal that I still use is my Boss CE-2, bought around 20 years ago.

Oh man. The Tone Bender and the Super Fuzz, would love to have those. I do have a super fuzz clone but have no idea how accurate it is.

Yeah that part of the board is that classic sound. Still kicking after all these years. I've even tried a few more chorus pedals thinking I would 'upgrade' and have always gone back to the CE2. I've also tried a Line 6 Delay (the green one which I forgot it's name) but ended up getting rid of that and adding a DD3 instead. One for slap back and one more ambient that's really all I need.

I have a first generation Ibanez UE400 from early 80s with footswitch. Posted it locally for sale several times but no serious offers so far.

Was just given to me. Only thing it needs a power supply 9v 1200mA. |

The shapes on these old pedals make it pretty obvious that they came along back when you just laid your 2-3 pedals on the floor and turned the amp to 11. I never thought about it before, but I suppose the more standard housing sizes came along as people started building pedalboards.

Welcome to the club, Captain! The DS1 is one of the most classic of all pedals.

Smoke on the Water. I also had the Heathkit TA-28 Distortion Booster: I miss that one. Bob

Early 1980s, but I was just gifted this gem by a dear friend yesterday. Greg Martin took this one out of the box and on the road with the Kentucky Headhunters years ago. I forgot how heavy these metal boxes were! (Even without a battery installed!)

Dave - great provenance with that Ibanez. Are you going to use it? Probably similar to playing with a Tonka truck back in the 70s vs today ... metal vs plastic.

Yes! The tonka is s good comparison. I would squat in the back of mine and race my friends on bigwheels down hill. Rarely ended well, but we’re still here!
