Default "Airborne" (original) on a new Hatcher Greta guitar

When I received this guitar from Mark Hatcher a few months ago one of the first songs I played was “Airborne” and the response of it hit me right in the chest. The soundboard and back are so active on this guitar that it really shines when tuned down to CGDGBe tuning, where this was composed. Spent a few days in my local studio and got some clips for the ole' YouTube channel.

What you’re hearing is just the stereo mic’d guitar - no added pickup for the sub-octave, or any additional effects. I’ve definitely got it really bad for this guitar, such a nice voice and fullness. Will be releasing Mark Hatcher’s episode of “My Favorite Luthiers” soon to my Youtube which will include an interview with Mark in his shop in the Green Mountains of Vermont. Look forward to sharing! Thanks for listening and appreciate any shares or subscriptions to the channel.

Well put together and played. Extra pretty part starting around 1:50. Great sounding guitar.

Superb Dustin!! I've lost count of how many guitars you own but what a collection it must be. This sounds gorgeous.

Really nice tune, Justin! Compelling bass and tapping rhythmic groove, “singable” melody with nice harmonies. It’s all in there. Congratulations on a fine composition, a “you nailed it” recording, and on getting a great guitar!

I commented on the video already but I thought I'd say again how wonderful it sounds, so much clarity!

I have rehomed many, down to 5 now and they all do something specific! 1 nylon, 1 baritone and 3 standard-pitch modern fingerstyle builds. Maybe one day will get a vintage/Martin type build but for now I am very content.

Thank you! It is one of the tunes I am most happy with bringing into the world. I appreciate the kind words.
