Yea, it was still good again. Especially the different guitar parts and vocals.

Doing the video editing with that many channels -- I think there were 12 video channels -- is a lot. I had to start writing stuff down about what was on the different channels, otherwise I can't keep track. I think the audio recording had 12 tracks, too, so 12 video tracks makes sense. Thanks for watching Westview! Much appreciated! - Glenn

Killin’ it yet again, Glenn! You’re the whole package. It must feel so good to put this all together in such a professional manner. Kudos!

Another classic performed so well, Glenn!
And as you’ve done with others, you’ve inspired me to work on this one for my set!! Thanks as always for sharing. Marty

It did feel good to put this together. I have always enjoyed making multi-track recordings. It fulfills my enjoyment from both the artistic side and my technical side. It's like a great big puzzle. Sometimes I try to do an arrangement very much like the original. This one was different because I couldn't rely on the piano. So this gave me a chance to be a little creative. It was a challenge, but it was also fun. Thanks so much for your comments Tom! Much appreciated! - Glenn

One of Bob’s true classics. He sure had a string of them, didn’t he?
Well done, Glenn. Thanks for the hard work. Roger |

Thanks so much Glenn for sharing your music with us! This was just wonderful, as always, and i agree such a well crafted song.
I loved your vocal so much, the subtle difference in interpretation from the original was so tasty and shows off your musical heart. I also have a difficult time keeping my eyes of your Olson Guitar(s). I had one for a season in my life and see and hearing yours brings back some great memories. your fan 4 ever, dale |

Thank you for the kind words, Sal! Like so many songs I take on, I worry about the vocals before I start. Can I do this? Can I still hit all those high notes at my age? Am I going to sound dumb? And sometimes I give up. Sometimes a song just doesn't work for me. But I worked on this for a while and my vocal cords loosened up as I sang this over and over, and then I thought, well, maybe I can do this... But every one of these covers takes practice. You know, the voice is the hardest of instruments... You always do a nice job on your vocals, Sal. I am always impressed. I hope all is well for you. Be safe and well. - Glenn

Thanks for your comments! Yes, this is the one song of Bob Seger that pops into my head when I think of his music. This is such a classic. And he has such a powerful voice, I found myself thinking, "I could never sing like that!" Well, I could never sing like Bob Seger. He is a unique talent. I hope the remaining winter for you in Michigan is not too brutal. And I hope all is well for you and your family! Be well! - Glenn

Thank you for the kind words, Dale. They are very much appreciated. Thank you especially for your comments about the vocals. As I mentioned above to Roger, obviously Bob Seger has a unique and powerful voice. I can only sing a song with my own voice and hope it comes out okay. And as you know, trying to come up with a decent version requires a lot of practice -- literally hours and hours of practice. Fortunately I am mostly retired so I have time, maybe for the first time in my life. I am fortunate to have both the Gerald Sheppard guitar and the James Olson guitar, both obtained used from other players. I have found that the Olson guitar, because it's fairly mellow in its attack, works quite well for acoustic guitar solo stuff. I like a nice fat sound from an acoustic guitar solo, almost like a classical, but with a little more brightness that only steel strings can provide. You have some wonderful Collings acoustics, though. They always sound great! I own a Collings OM1A deep body (red spruce over mahogany) that has a very nice Pete Huttlinger kind of sound. Thanks for taking the time to comment Dale. Very much appreciated. I hope all is well for your family! - Glenn
