Visit to Sweetwater
I'm going to be visiting family over the thanksgiving week in Ft Wayne Indiana. I was thinking of visiting Sweetwater while I'm there. Has anyone been out there? Anything interesting to be aware of in terms of merchandise, the overall experience, etc? Thanks.

It's an amazing experience! There is a huge slide and playground too. Apparently the CEO is all about having fun so he decided to make their HQ lots of fun. It is a great trip!

If you're already going to be in Ft. Wayne, it is a no brainer. The place is amazing, especially their acoustic guitar room.

Sweetwater is not just a store, it's a campus -

I’m lucky that Sweetwter is only miles away from my house. It is an awesome place with amazing employees who know their stuff. Be sure to check their website to see if there are any special events or workshops while you are here. Many of the events are with well known artists and are free. If you really want a treat, make the trip to Fort Wayne for Gear Fest in June. It is an amazing event with all the manufacturers, workshops, demonstrations and live music. Enjoy your trip to “The Fort”.

Wow! Thanks for the pictures. I'm a big fan of Sweetwater and most of my guitars have come from there. Lucky I'm not living closer because I would probably be in debt and shopping there all the time.

That will be a really cool place to visit. I bought my last guitar from them and it was the most pleasant online buying experience I've ever had. I would buy from them again without hesitation. I would love to spend a few hours gawking at their toys.

I've had less than stellar experiences with Sweetwater. Buy/shop at your own risk.

Sorry if you had a bad experience but I would say you are the exception rather than the norm. Sweetwater typically gets very positive marks on the AGF.

My son's former girlfriend works for them - says they are good to work for (always a plus if a company treats their employees well.)

I have bought two Taylors from them and various and sundry accessories. My only let down is they don't stock John Pearse strings. The service is spot on, and the free shipping on every thing is a true plus. My sales guy, Derek, is very punctual and responds to questions in a very timely manner. Reading the history is very interesting, also.
