He was a really talented singer and actor. I didn't realize all he has done until I read his bio last night. What a great performance in The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Did they ever say the cause of death?

His early acting career was notable to say the least. Meatloaf was an extremely talented and intelligent guy, but his life was tortured. If you get a chance, read some of his interviews.

He will be missed. I for one, can never forget these incredible lyrics and the wry smile that they give me every time I hear them:

Quote:
I swore that I would love you to the end of time!
So now I'm praying for the end of time
To hurry up and arrive
'Cause if I gotta spend another minute with you
I don't think that I can really survive
I'll never break my promise or forget my vow
But God only knows what I can do right now
I'm praying for the end of time
It's all that I can do
Praying for the end of time,
So I can end my time with you!
Another reminder for us all to live every day fully.

Rick

RIP SIR!! Helluva entertainer for sure. Rocky Horror is part of my adolescence. Was a great time going to see it weekly at the midnight matinee. I along with everyone else I hung around flat wore out Bat out of Hell.

Default Goodbye Meatloaf and thank you.

Dear Meatloaf,
R.I.P. and Godspeed to you.

It’s just a shell
And Nothing more
I have been know to say
We use it up as best we can
Till time takes it away

I’m Frankie, from the Milky Way
I’ll tell a shining star
Yes, that’s right
we know you well
Lets find you a guitar

See, when I get to the afterlife
There’s no pain of any sort
Just a giant hall, with a disco ball
And Hendrix holding court

Stevie Ray and Chet will be there
Along with Django and All three KINGs
Ol’ Les Paul and Mary Ford will be
Rockin’ that western swing

Though he played
A different set of strings
I hope Leon will be there
With his mirrored aviators
And snow white beard and hair

We are here, there is no question
In this space we all belong
We made the earth a better place
because we’ve played its song

It’s just a shell
And nothing more
I have been known to say
We use it up as best we can
Till time takes it away

Frank D.
