2017 Heinonen SJ - Cedar and EIR - **SOLD**
Time to get serious about reducing the inventory so some painful choices have to be made. Perhaps the most difficult decision is the one to sell this beautiful piece of art, my Heinonen SJ in Cedar and East Indian rosewood.
Here are the specs: SJ Model (same dimensions and bracing as Olson's famous SJ) East Indian Rosewood (dark/ chocolate, beautiful grain) Cedar top (dark reddish) Curly Koa binding Curly Koa purfling, rosette, and back strip Gold/Ebony Gotoh 510 tuners No inlays on fingerboard LR Baggs pick up Tween hardshell case 14 frets to the body Body length: 19.5" Neck: 1.75" at the nut Scale: 25.34" Saddle Spacing: 2-5/16" The only mark I can find on it is a slight line on the headstock which you will see in one of the pictures. The Cedar Creek case is in excellent shape. I picked this up over two years ago and immediately "knew" that I'd never let it go. Times change. I now have several other keepers, including an Edwinson Performance that continually blows me away, a Jorma M-30 that I was finally able to find, as well as a new Nautilus that Ben Wilborn is building for me and will be here in August. Between those relatively unique and inspiring pieces, I don't think I'll ever get to playing this Heinonen. That's not because the others are better, but because this one, while it handles a pick very well, is designed more for fingerstyle and I still haven't figured out how to get my hands to do that. So this one is being offered now at $5,200, including insured shipping to CONUS. PP fees are on the buyer. Last edited by Nochops; 12-19-2021 at 04:15 PM. Reason: Reduced Price |

It really is - thanks for saying so and for the good wishes. I'm already having regrets about this one. I'm posting a few more in the next day or two and by the end of that, I might just take this down. It really is a keeper.

These are such great guitars! If I didn't have one of his builds I'd be all over this.

I'm bumping this for the day until I post a few other guitars - a Bourgeois DB OMC, an OM-18 Authentic, an RTaylor Style 1 and a Breedlove Fusion. Once those go up, I think I'll take this one down. I'll just have to work harder to concentrate on building finger style chops and get this into the rotation. It is too sweet to have it just sit in the case.

Hey Wally, thanks for getting in touch. I can confirm tomorrow (I’m traveling today) but I think it’s number 24. Hope that helps.
