I'd of liked to have been with Joseph Rutherford Walker when he explored north America. He is the iconic American explorer that explored the west before and during the fur trappers invested the west.

Thumbs down

I can recount chance meetings, lucky/unlucky moments, stubborn behaviors and so on, all of which had huge potential to change/snuff the arc of my existence. Important births, deaths, historic events, landmark personal decisions, meeting people, etc. Of course these are different for all of us.

I'm not a "fate" guy, as in "It was meant to be." But (for better or worse) if my life would return to here and now, regardless, I think it would be fascinating as a guitarist to visit and witness the creative musical explosions that occurred in LA, San Francisco and London in the mid-60s.

My second choice thought in this was to explore the American West before the white man came.

Sometimes I think in another life I did.

I'd like to visit the Mary Celeste as she set sail across the Atlantic. One of the biggest ghost ship mysteries. I visited the monument where she was built, here in Nova Scotia.

I'd like to go back to the mid-50's, pick up Ansel Adams, and then go back to the 1870's to spend time with John Muir...

Even Now, there are times riding in the Wilderness areas of the Wind River Mountain Range, when it feels like you are like a Mountain Man and the only one around for hundreds of miles. Right up until you stumble on an old rusty Bud can that is

The nylon halter and gators not withstanding But the 50 cal. Hawkin style Muzzleloader is spot on

I’d like to revisit my early boyhood in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I do go back there every few years and reminisce, but to re-experience the people (family and friends)l sights and sounds would be great. I loved my childhood years there.

Musically, I’d like to experience some time in the late ‘60s-early ‘70s hanging out in the Laurel Canyon area.

My Mom and Dad passed away 20 years ago. As others have said, I'd love to go back about 30 years and spend time with them again. I'd ask all the questions I wonder about today. Thankfully I called and visited a lot especially during their last years and said I love you to them all the time.

The poster wants to see Hendrix born, eh?

Then by all means the poster should program his DeLorean for 10:15 AM, November 27, 1942, maternity ward, Seattle King County Hospital (later named Harborview), Washington state.

And the bonus is that back in those days you could still smoke a stogie in the delivery room. And maybe a beer or two.

I'll stick to something music related given the context.

November 18, 1993 - the live recording of Nirvana: MTV Unplugged in New York.

Good one! I’ll certainly never forget watching that when it originally aired. I was 27 in 1993, and Nirvana was the first “current” band that I loved from the first time I heard of them a year or so earlier. I had older brothers and sisters, so my musical tastes were all from the 50s 60s and 70s. Nirvana completely changed things for me, their appearance on unplugged was a pivotal moment in my life.

Same for me. This was around the time I started playing guitar and many of the first songs I learned were Nirvana ones. When the performance was released on CD I listened to it over and over for months.

I think witnessing what to us(given the lack of machinery) is still an inexplicable engineering feat like the building of the Pyramids or Stonehenge would be interesting.

Or watching Watt invent the first steam engine or Bell the first telephone.

Or the first guitar(which I understand is derived from a bow and arrow) - weapons can have unitendended sie effects.
