It is interesting how this one subject brings out the insecurity of ego manifest in arrogance, or condescending attitude about it.

Being a " Pro' has nothing to do whether or not one uses a music/lyric sheet or mobile prompter .

Engaging with the audience has nothing to do with having these things or not .

Such notions are ludicrous affectations , the same silly notions were floated when nail guns first appeared in residential construction. in the middle 60's "Real carpenters don't need no stinking nail guns " Ya Right

Now as far as the actual OP ... First, they are a tech tool to get the job done and the reason the use is so prolific, is because they in fact work very well ...that is it
Like nail guns in carpentry they are tech advancements that make the situation far more efficient.... period.

The second question the OP asked : The On Song app has an auto scroll feature in the form of typing in your elapsed time for each individual song (no foot switch needed)
