Thanks, Glenn!

My second SJ will be ready soon and I look forward to posting comparison clips between mahogany and rosewood versions. I bet you most people won't hear a significant difference.

Maybe not, though I hear a considerable difference between your current Olson and mine. But I am very familiar with the sound of my cedar/EIR SJ, and so I am probably not going to be a typical listener.

I am very much looking forward to hearing your playing on your new SJ. It should be really something special.

Howdy Keith,

Of course it is. It's the reason people like him and Ervin Somogyi are often times having to build the same guitar over and over again. Nothing wrong with that, just saying.

If Jim were to delight his fans by building another batch, I would consider maple/cedar or BRW/spruce.

This maple/spruce SJ looks really cool:

I got no problems with that... his SJ's are amazing... my buddy has a Jumbo and I have two dreads and they are all spectacular instruments in a big way

Wow! How many shellfish had to die to make that guitar!

Sorry. As my wife is fond of saying, "nobody gets a bigger kick out of me than me"!

Beautiful guitar! I'd love to find a great cedar topped guitar for my collection.
