Back when I heard about the lord of the rings movies were being made I reread the whole series. I’ve reared many of the classics from my youth such as Huckleberry Fin, Of mice and men, etc......I’m currently on book three of the Foundation Series by Isaac Asimov, which I read back in 1980.

Yes,Wallace Stegner-Wolf Willow, the Big Rock Candy Mountain

Susan Sloan's early books-each time they are just as thrilling.

The above novelists are so underrated IMO.

Re read Heinrich Boll's "the Train was on Time" not that great on the second read...

Theodore Dreiser :"American Tragedy" still very good although some vernacular is out of date.No so with Steinbeck's famous novels....

As another poster claimed here-could not get through Crime and Punishment ...

Lots of them.

One Hundred Years Of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez more times than I can remember.

Sometimes A Great Notion by Ken Kesey, same.

Mother Night by Kurt Vonnegut, same. I've read quite a few of Vonnegut's books multiple times, but Mother Night more than any other.

Set This House On Fire by William Styron, same.

Cannery Row by Steinbeck.

The Fool's Progress & Desert Solitaire by Edward Abbey.

A Light In August by Faulkner.

Many others.
