Gibson Advanced Jumbo vs LR Baggs Anthem
Having successfully installed an LR Baggs Anthem system into my Martin HD28V, I decided to install the same into my Gibson AJ. Unfortunately the Gibson AJ apparantly cannot abide an undersaddle pickup. What do you have installed in your Gibson AJ- LR Baggs Lyric ? Something else ?

The only reason the AJ would not be an easy target for the Anthem is because of the unusual saddle design with the curved ends cut flush to the curved bridge. There's no reason it couldn't be installed, but not without some extra work and measures and cost.
That said, the AJ is bass heavy. Based on that, and the difficulty mentioned above, my recommendation is to be found in my signature. I have one in my AJ and it kills...

Dazzos matched to your guitar. I have an Epiphone Texan witch is very much like a Southern Jumbo, J 50 body with a long scale neck. Get the right Dazzo mated to a SunnAudio DI and you'll be happy.

I had a Baggs Anthem, the full one with the mix control, installed in a Gibson AJ at Elderly in Lansing MI - a very experienced Acoustic shop. They had to install a little piece of wood to make the soundhole controls sit properly because of the bracing, they told me about it before they did it, it was no big deal. The Anthem made the AJ sound amazing amplified.
