Q: Bose F1 sub with K10 pair?
Has anyone used the Bose F1 subwoofer? Anyone used one with a pair of QSC K10s?
The setup looks remarkably similar: both the F1 sub and the QSC K sub are 1000w, the K10 sub has 2 x 12" while the F1 sub has 2 x 10" BUT the F1 sub is 20 lbs lighter and has a wider specified frequency range (40-250Hz at -3dB vs 48-134Hz for the QSC at -6dB). The K10s, like the F1 812 tops, have a "with subwoofer" setting to set a 100Hz HPF, so both subs should work well with the K10s. Right now, until July 4th, Bose is running a sale (until July 4th for most of their older products, not including the new S1, T4s or T8s) and has the F1 sub for less $$ than the QSC K sub. So, anyone have any experience with the Bose sub? Thanks, Phil

Hi Phil,
I have an F1 and also the 812 Top Cab. We do use the L1 system that we add on to when we need the extra volume/coverage. A lot of times we only add the F1 sub to our L1 system as we do have a drummer with a small kit. Just makes the kic drum much better adding the extra sub. I have never used the F1 with any other top cabs but I can say I really love the tone & output of the F1 versus size & weight. We use to use a JBL powered 15" sub with 500 watts and it was OK but the Bose F1 is a way better/ tighter sounding sub. I see no reason it would not mesh well with the QSC's
