I'm not sure I'd go quite so far as 'raising the bar' - MacPherson devotees might quite reasonably point to the similarity to the honeycomb weave available on their CF models.

That being said, it's another very appealing finish option for Emerald - I'd love to see that weave on the front of one, rather than that icky wood stuff

I heard a rumor the emerald chainlink weave is a little louder with more bass response than their standard weave...... Can of worms is officially opened

Well, it's obvious..... The larger weave lets out the bass frequencies easier while still containing the wolf tones. Tighter weaves choke the trebles.
It looks nice to me, and I'm a guy that likes the exposed carbon fiber weave.

Yep, I agree, trying to copy McPherson a bit I think. Doubt it sounds like a Sable though??? Not a green fan, I bet the chain link looks better on a better color. More options are always a good thing.

Now, if they did that in a more traditional Celtic weave pattern, it would be spectacular. As it is, I am not overly impressed.

Why does that sound to me like we will be seeing more coffee mug photos from Kramster sometime between now and Christmas?

I dont think theres any truth in that. Its only the outermost layer of carbon, and the grade/weight of carbon per square meter is virtually identical. Its an aesthetic thing only.

Yeah I was just thinking if you were to tell a little white lie and confirm my bogus comments.....Geez we might find a few more emeralds for sale at reduced prices on the AGF classifieds with everyone wanting to buy the new weave for its increased performace
