Default Rainsong Customer Service!

The folks at Rainsong have really proven they have great customer service. I bought a Shorty in January and have been using it at all my gigs. A few weeks ago I was using the on-board tuner and it wouldn't disengage - keeping the guitar muted. I was in trouble - I had two more hours to go. I finally removed the battery and plugged it back in and it cleared the unit - the show went on! I contacted Rainsong and received a response the next day! They're sending me a new unit , no questions asked. They even said to take my time returning the old unit. It's great to deal with a company that takes customer service seriously.

Me too - Jeanne has always been quick to respond, and always has something nice to say.

I've had significant issues arise with them too -- things happen -- and they've handled everything quite well.

Great story and Customer Service. Good thinking about removing the battery too.

I have to ask, did you have a backup guitar at the gig?

No problems with my Shorty.....but I almost want to have some to let them take care of it.

I didn't have a backup guitar with me. I was inside at a local winery so I could have played unplugged but the folks there were really patient. As long as I don't use the tuner the electronics work fine - thank goodness for the Snark! But Rainsong is standing behind their product - I have no complaints. And I did purchase a new guitar over the weekend, a PRS SE Angelus - my new backup!

You've got to give us a review & your opinion of the Angelus. I think these might be something pretty nice.

Here's my review of my new PRS SE Angelus Custom (for what it's worth) I tried several other guitars in that price range ($1,000) and there's no comparison. I would put the PRS up against guitars that cost quite a bit more. It has a balanced, smooth sound. Sounds great plugged in - not too bright or too much bass, it doesn't overpower my vocals. I like the neck - not too thin so my hands don't cramp. Excellent action with no buzzing on any fret. For the money it's a great buy!

So nice to see someone take the time to post a positive review. The folks at Rainsong are indeed second to none when it come to customer service, even without Jeane who retired recently.

RainSong has great customer service! A few years ago, I had an LR Baggs Element UST go bad on me in my RainSong DR1000 and Jeanne sent me not only a new Element UST but a Tusq saddle blank too just in case the string-to-string output imbalance was saddle related. Twenty minutes of extraction of the old Element and installation of the new one had that RainSong dreadnought rockin' again!

Regards
