Default Emerald symmetric bridges

Watching the latest shipping video, it appears that Emerald has changed things up so that the point on the bridge is in the center on many of their guitars. Interesting design change, not sure if I like it or not. My X20 has the point on the lower bout side, my X7 is newer and has the point on the upper bout side. Maybe I need to get a centered X30 to round things out :-)

The only one that’s changed recently is the X20, where the point has been removed altogether. I think you’ll find that all the other models have remained the same, absent any customizations.

Actually I think sumokids is right. If you look at the current stock page you'll see that there is indeed a shift going on towards symmetrical pointy bridges.

In general I prefer symmetry but the offset bridges don't bother me. Fan fret guitars hurt my eyes though.

By George, I think you’re right!

I certainly hadn’t noticed this trend, and I don’t recall anyone else mentioning it either.

I guess I’m going to have to hand in my fan boy card
