Default A shout-out for Grover Roto-Grip Locking tuners

I just got Grover Rotomatic Roto-Grip 502 series locking tuners on a guitar.

I originally selected them simply because they were the smallest locking tuners I could find, but they operate so smoothly, I just had to post about it.

They tune smoothly and there seems to be zero lash, so no need to tune past a note just to tune up to it.

In case anyone's interested, here's a link:

Did you use these on an acoustic? I'm not sure I've ever seen locking tuners on an acoustic. I use them on electric all the time.

Yes, it’s an acoustic; a nylon crossover.

Nylon strings can take a lot of wraps to reach the appropriate tension, especially on a tuner with a small diameter post. With the locking tuners, I can pull the string snug through the hole, lock it down then bring it to pitch with just a few wraps around the tuning post.

Cool. Seems like a good idea!
