Default Pierre Bensusan & Tony Mcmanus

Hey all,

I've uploaded two new videos here, cover versions of two of my favourite guitar pieces, from two of my favourite musicians!

Would really appreciate any feedback guys, constructive or otherwise. They're both played on my new Benjamin, Cocobolo/Alpine Spruce with a bit of Brz Rosewood and Ebony here and there.

Do check out Nick's guitars at www.benjaminguitars.co.uk - Great guitars from a great guy!

The first is Tony's arrangement of 'Goodbye Pork Pie Hat'

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ZSzmim4brk

The second is Pierre's tribute to Mr Hedges:

Thanks for your time

Best

Mike

Very nice Mike. The duets with Amy Turk on Concert Harp at your site are really fine too.

Glad I happened upon your thread!

Cheers,

Very nice on both. My only nitpick would be on timing and tempo issues although on Pierre's piece I admit it is somewhat hard to be sure.

Thanks for the feedback guys, It's been great to learn these pieces, huge fans of the artists.

I'd like to have a bash at some other Mcmanus tracks, I don't suppose any of you have any preference/suggestions?

Cheers

Nice, nice and awesome there love The So long Michael. Michael Hedges is one of my absolute favorite guitarists. Sadly I never got the chance to see him live, I was five when he died. I really think the song by Pierre Bensusan is an amazing tribute to Michael Hedges and one of the most beautiful guitar pieces there is And I think you performed it beautifully. Well done!

Indeed, yes. How about "Easy Club Reel "

There is a far better audio version which can be heard if you follow the link in my comment on the video.

Thanks for the tip! That is a manic one indeed. I recently bought one of Tony's DVD's, I just finished Catherine Kelly's, a fantastic jig in 9/8. Easy Club Reel looks like a good excuse to dust off the pick!
