Default My guitar case is missing!

Decided I would take my Alvarez Yairi out in the country and put new strings on it today. Went to the closet to get the case and it was not there. The guitar sets in my living room in a stand. But now the case is missing. Searched my apartment high and low. The case is gone. I suspect the apartment complex maintenance men took it. I cannot prove anything.

I have no idea where to buy a case. Have never bought a guitar case before. Would like to get one like I had. It was a hard case with green fur lining and a storage box. Can anyone recommend a website? I have an Alvarez Yairi DY-57 guitar.

Thank you,,

Lonnie

That's funny because my Yairi sits on a stand in my bedroom while its case is in the closet. I'm gonna go check on it.

Usually thieves steal the guitar out of the case and leave the case as it was, takes a while to find it's missing. Sounds like a real caper.

Maybe you'll wake up in the middle of the night and remember, "oh yeah, I put it in the.....(garage, basement, attic, under the bed...). To answer your question every Big-Box chain sells cases. No issue finding one quick.

I am discovering that you are right. Have been looking on the internet. It looks like there are several places out there. Even found a link to Chicago Music store on this website. I will call them tomorrow.

Lonnie, my favorite place to get cases is Elderly Instruments. They have the best assortment of hardshell cases in the widest range of body styles available.

I've bought a number of cases from them over the years, and been pleased every time with both the price and the quality of the case.

Incidentally, I have no commercial ties with Elderly Instruments at all other than that of a satisfied customer.

Hope this helps.

A spurned case looks for a new lover.

Your closet is a community closet open to anyone who lives or works in the complex? No surprises it walked. Who can resist a guitar case? It is like leaving a Benjamin or two lying out on the floor.

Elderly sells nice Canadian Case or Guardian cases. But don't store it in a closet again.

Check under the bed. That area is famous for swallowing everything.

Actually you are right. Things that get stored away in closets do not get checked on as often. I am embarrassed to say how long it had been since I checked the closet.

Not sure what size your guitar is, but these cases are really hard to beat for the money. They come in Dread, OM and classical size.

80 bucks shipped - you'll pay half of that to get most cases shipped to you.
