Default Getting back into carbon

Was into carbon fiber several years ago got out of it given I bought a couple high end handmade wood acoustics. Today I got out my Rainsong Black-Ice Jm1000.
Hadn’t played it in quite a while. Fun to explore it again. So even all the way up the neck. Have to play it a little differently to keep it sounding right to my ears. Mixing it up always improves you as a musician. Yes and on the Jumbo the N2 feels right to me, like a old Gibson J200: neck incredibly consistent. Good stuff.

It's always good to revisit those old friends that don't get played as much anymore. And good to see you back.....

Welcome back.... agree with you the JM1000/3000 were the only two guitars that I have regretted selling. The best sounding IMHO (ears) Rainsong makes. What's the song... "You don't always know what you got till it's gone ...."

Good to hear from you Doubleneck. Do you still have/play your Emerald Doubleneck guitar?

Not much! Just not as into 12 string. But still in the stable! Probably should sell it, signed by Allistair as #1!

Hey Kramster,where have you been? Just yesterday EvanB was noticing that you hadn’t been around to chime in on his current nylon string dilemma(actually, more of a conundrum)!

My nephew, I know how shy you are. But that doesn't mean you're not a lookin. Got that camera, always right in the next room--it's almost spooky. Social scientist say that in observing you alter the reality. Can't fool your uncle, you're involved.

Doubleneck;

In another thread you made reference to a CF guitar that excelled Emerald. What guitar, por favor.

The carbon fiber guitar that I most play is a Rainsong BI J1000. Probably part is that it is a copy of my favorite acoustic guitar - the Gibson J200. I think it is a classic shape that is timeless. Sounds awesome as well. It’s a huge guitar but it’s tight waist makes it easy to ride on your leg. I was never a fan of the N2 neck but on a Jumbo like this it works well.
