Jayne, those guitars are always the most fun to play. Thanks again for the feedback

Just following up to say that this guitar still has it going on. I have owned and played it daily for a few weeks now and it just keeps getting better. It is by far my favorite Collings to date and dare I say my favorite acoustic that I have owned - this is closest I have come to finding "the sound in my head." It has all the features that I love about Collings - the clarity, articulation, projection, immediacy, response and dynamic range is all there - and yet it brings something new with its voicing - it is warm and round and just had a wonderful character to it. I think the fine folks in Austin have crafted something truly unique and special with this guitar. I have drilled a strap pin into the heel and the warranty card is going in the mail. This one is a keeper!

Hello howthewestwas1,

Beautiful guitar and lovely playing!

I hope to audition an Adirondack 14 fret 001 T tomorrow and I’m very excited!

How are you feeling about the guitar now, about three months since your last update?

Best regards and thanks,
Vivian

I hope you got there before it sold, assuming you are referring to the one at the Music Emporium.

Wonderful! Satin finish, IMO, is the best.
Do you have an ETA?

No, and I’m not sure what the status of the factory is right now.

Totally late here - how would you characterize it against the JL adirondack?

I do like what I'm hearing here, that said some presentations of the JL are just pure magic to me, at least in quality youtube recordings. And I think I'd really love the '39 type neck. My main issue is I'd much prefer a short scale, and possibility a 00 body size (but the short scale is high on my list).

Mary,

News from a dealer is that the shop is playing catch up at the moment. It's fully operational, but prioritizing getting out the orders that they couldn't finish when they were shut down, so I imagine there is a back-up and new orders are apt to take longer than usual.

My favorite guitar, and the quality bar for any future guitar has been set by My Collings 002H.

My order was taken at NAMM in January, but I’m a fairly patient gal. I waited 2 years for a mandolin. There were some build issues, but they delivered a wonderful instrument. And it’s not like I have nothing to play while I’m waiting. Lol.
