My favorite guitar is a Collings OM1VN (Vintage Now). I was unable to get along with a standard Collings OM and OOO I previously owned because the more pronounced v-neck neck profiles bothered my fretting hand/wrist, but the VN neck works beautifully for me. I have not tried one of the Traditional models, but I wonder if the neck profile is similar to the Vintage Now specs.

I'd love to try one of the new OO Collings and also the O as I'm yearning for a smaller-bodied guitar.
I believe the Traditional carve is based on the VN neck with slight variation to the taper and rounded off edges. Also they modified the Traditional neck after the initial run. It's not as big as it is used to be. Though I feel like the neck on my 001-14T is a little fuller than that on my 01T.

Welcome to the 00 club! I love my SCGC 00 Skye and I’d love to take this new Collings for a test drive. You did well in your selection, congrats!

thanks! I have actually always preferred the 00 to all others. I've owned a '56 00-18 and a '49 00-18 shadetop in the past. My main acoustic has been my single 0 from Collings. So I was thrilled when Collings FINALLY built a 14 fret 00.

That TME video is superb. Very tasteful and tuneful.

Here is another video of my 001-14T. Settling in nicely after just one week.

And for those interested in a comparison, here is the same song on my old OM1SS with baked top (it's a lower fidelity recording)
https://youtu.be/iii-AtuEV4I

Again, comparable low but more low mids, more relaxed upper mids. At least to my ears.

Like many Collings I feel like it's a guitar that give you a little more than you put in. Killer indeed. Thanks for the kind words!

That is a great way to describe it. I have a guitar like that though it is not a Collings. Thanks for another great video showcasing your guitar.

Best,
Jayne
